Your brokerage is keeping you poor
Nov 17, 2025Most brokerages pride themselves on the amount of training they provide
But most of the training is absolute garbage and you don't even realize
What they do is, bring in vendor partners to present who are either:

Paying to be a preferred vendor
-
Or sponsoring the event in some way
These vendor partners are usually amazing at their job BUT......
They're not trained speakers.
This is why most people hate CE classes
Aside from the fact that we're forced to do them, the speakers suck
But what if someone like Tony Robbins hosted a CE class?
Everyone would rush to sign up. Why?
Because he's a trained presenter.
Now most brokerages aren't willing to cough up more than a $1500 for a speaker
And with that budget, you'll NEVER get someone at Tony Robbin's level
So you're forced to sit through presentations that don't actually help your business
Here's the secret I learned this past week,
There are 4 levels of teaching and most presenters are only at level 1. Maybe level 2

Tactics - What to do
-
Strategies - When & Why to do it
-
Principles - How it works
-
Essence - Why it works
Since we're in peak football season I'll use a football example
-
Tactics - Knowing the playbook
-
Strategies - Knowing which plays to calls depending on the situation
-
Principles - Knowing where all the players go and their specific roles for that play

Essence - Understanding why the play is effective for that specific situation
Here's a quote to remember,
"Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat." - Sun Tzu
And this is why most brokerages are keeping you poor
They're giving you all the tactics and strategies, but you don't understand why or how it works
So you end up doing everything they tell you to do
But you're not getting any of the results that they have.
Now I want to assure you that this is not intentional
Most speakers don't understand that just because they have a successful business,
Doesn't mean they are great communicators, presenters, and teachers
There's an art and science to public speaking
And not everyone puts in the work required to be great at it.
Now when you're educating your clients, ask yourself are you teaching them tactics, strategies, principles, or essence?
The more you teach from principles and essence, the more transformation and impact you'll have on people's lives
