Are you showing up as the go-to expert when people search?
Oct 27, 2025"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."
Robert frost said this in a poem he published back in 1915.
100+ years later and this is still the better approach to life and business
Especially if you want to become the local go-to expert
Times are changing faster than you know
20 years ago, the person who was the go-to expert was the guy or gal who lived in the town their whole life
Then people started looking on Google for reviews
Then people started looking you up on social media
Now people are asking ChatGPT for recommendations
And guess where ChatGPT gets it's information from???
The internet.
So if you're not creating content, you'll NEVER become the go-to expert
Here's what people are doing when it comes to content...
-
They're following trends and searching for hacks to boost the algorithm
-
Copying what their friends from other markets posted
-
Creating inauthentic AI avatars or random AI generated videos
Here's why this doesn't work...
Let's say you needed open heart surgery and you have the option to choose between Dr. A & Dr. B
You're life is depending on this operation so you look into both
Their resumes are equal.
-
Both have the same number of successful operations
-
Same amount of years in business
-
Both went to ivy leagues and have the same designations
During your search you find videos of Dr. A in a hospital room dancing like a 16 year old and lip-sinking
You move on and start look into Dr. B
Dr. B has educational videos breaking down how to prepare for surgery, healing post-op, things to ask your doctor, etc.
Who are you going to trust with your life?
Dr. A (the wanna-be influencer) or Dr. B (the educator)
Now I know you're not a heart surgeon but let me be clear on the lesson here.
I'm not saying don't dance or have fun in your content
I am saying that perception is reality
Completely neglecting content is like bringing boxing gloves to a war zone
You're setting yourself up for failure.
But being intentional with content can drastically change how people perceive you
People are searching "how to buy or sell in xyz city" or "how to get my first investment property"
They aren't searching "who's got the best dance moves in town?"
Now if you want to learn my exact strategy of how I plan to become the go-to expert in 2026
